The HBA of Metro Denver's Charity of Choice is
Home Builders Foundation (HBF)
HBF Mission Statement
Founded in 1993, Home Builders Foundation is the charity of choice of the Home Builders Association of Metro Denver.
The mission of the HBF is to build independence and provide opportunities to elevate lives for individuals and families with disabilities and our community.
What HBF Does
Home Builders Foundation changes lives by providing home modifications which help individuals access their home and community, regain independence and improve their quality of life. The HBF’s program is for individuals in the 8-county (Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Elbert and Jefferson) Denver metro area that are in need of home modifications related to accessibility. HBF projects range from modifications like ramps and grab bars to major improvements including bathroom remodels.
The HBF relies on a committed network of volunteers and suppliers, most of who are affiliated with the home building industry, to complete the work so there is no cost to the client. Many of these volunteers and suppliers donate time and materials; in turn, the HBF can leverage the funding used towards a project to be worth far more than the cost value of the project. In fact, in 2024, HBF provided $2M of community impact to our neighbors through home modifications.

HBF launched Clays to Elevate Lives in 2021, and it quickly became a crowd favorite. This clay shoot takes place at Kiowa Creek and includes breakfast, lunch and lots of fun.
Each year Home Builders Foundation gathers builders, contractors, remodelers, trades, and volunteers to execute Blitz Build. One weekend a month volunteers build multiple wheelchair ramps in the Denver metro area at no cost to HBF clients. Since 2011, more than 240 ramps have been completed during Blitz Build weekends, mobilizing hundreds of volunteers and impacting clients and their extended networks of care.
Grab your favorite foursome and join us as industry partners and competitors face off in this scramble-format tournament at the exclusive Rolling Hills Country Club. The day includes lunch, a shotgun starts at noon, and a networking dinner.
This end-of-the-year HBF event is not to be missed, especially as HBF celebrates our success throughout the year. The evening starts with cocktails, cuisine, and a silent auction as guests network with fellow HBF supporters and clients. Entertainment follows with a live auction, and programming continues with a keynote speaker and paddle raiser.
