HBA Board of Directors Approves Dues and Assessment Increase effective January 1, 2019
At the monthly Board of Directors Meeting on October 9th, the HBA Board approved the proposed 2019 Annual Budget. Significant inclusions to the 2019 Budget are an increase in annual membership dues for Associate members from $916 to $1063 per year. In consideration of additional increased assessment costs, Builder members annual membership dues will increase from $916 to $963 per year. Permit assessments increase to $175 per permit for homes up to $500,000 and the assessment caps increase to 300 homes. Permit assessment increases will take effect January 1, 2019 and member renewals with anniversary dates on or after January 1st will be billed at the new rate as well. HBA CEO Chérie Talbert notes, “These increases will enable the HBA to fiscally meet the needs of our members while increasing our reserves to bolster the association’s ability to withstand industry challenges.”
The Dues increase also continues to include membership in the Colorado Association of Home Builders (CAHB) and National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), providing industry representation on the state and national level.
