Call for Annual Awards Nominations
HOME BUILDERS ASSOCIATION OF METRO DENVER ANNUAL AWARDS CRITERIA
Each year, the HBA will conduct a process to select three distinguished members for recognition. The Annual Awards will be presented at the HBA Annual Membership Meeting held on November 29, 2023. These awards honor outstanding contributions to the home building industry and the Association. The individuals selected represent the "Best and the Brightest" of the industry, and these awards are the highest honor any HBA member can receive. HBA Annual Awards are given to an individual, not to a company as a whole. The categories recognized are as follows:
- Home Builder Member of the Year
- Associate Member of the Year
- Volunteer Member of the Year
THE PROCESS:
The HBA will announce to the membership that nominations open on September 1 and will close October 27, 2023 at noon. Any active HBA member can nominate an individual for the Awards.
Nominations will be submitted to the Awards Selection Committee for consideration and selection. The Committee will be composed of the following:
- HBA President
- HBA Past President appointed by the Executive Committee
- HBA Board Member appointed by the Executive Committee
- HBA CEO
- HBA VP of Member Services
- Council Board Chair
- Presidential Appointment of a Past Award Winner
The Committee will meet to make the award selections from all nominations submitted according to the criteria as established further below.
SELECTION CRITERIA FOR THE BUILDER OF THE YEAR
- Nominations may be made by any active member of the HBA.
- Nominations are open to any active Builder/Developer member regardless of activity. Accounts must be current.
- Nominees will be judged on their overall contribution to the association and their This contribution can be in a number of areas including, but not limited to, committee and board involvement, event participation, legislative and MHC support, leadership, membership and special activities.
- Nominees will be judged on their service to the home building
- The focus will be service to the Denver metropolitan community, but state and national leadership will also be considered as appropriate.
- Nominees will have been members for at least the previous The judging of their service and contribution can involve a period of time, i.e., a body of work over a period of years.
- Nominees will be judged on both their business and personal commitment to the housing Nominees will also be judged by their leadership involving their business in support of the Association and industry related activities.
- Nominees will be judged on their leadership in the industry,
- Nominees will be judged by the manner in which they conduct their business in regard to integrity, ethics and their reputation for fair dealing.

- Nominations may be made by any active member of the HBA.
- Nominations are open to any active Associate member regardless of activity.
- Nominees will be judged on their overall contribution to the association and their professionalism. This contribution can be in a number of areas including, but not limited to, committee and board involvement, event participation, legislative and MHC Support, leadership, membership and special activities.
- Nominees will be judged on their service to the home building
- The focus will be service to the Denver metropolitan community, but state and national leadership will also be considered as appropriate.

- Nominations may be made by any active member of the HBA.
- Nominations are open to any active Builder/Developer or Associate member regardless of activity.
- Nominees will be judged on their overall contribution to the association and their This contribution can be in a number of areas including, but not limited to, committee and board involvement, event participation, legislative and MHC Support, leadership, membership and special activities.
- Nominees will be judged on their service to the home building industry that is above and beyond the call of duty and is considered exemplary.
- The focus will be service to the Denver metropolitan community, but state and national leadership will also be considered as appropriate.
- Nominees will have been members for at least the previous year. The judging of their service and contribution can involve a period of time, i.e., a body of work over a period of years.
- Nominees will be judged on both their business and personal commitment to the housing industry, Nominees will also be judged by their leadership in involving their business in support of the Association and industry related activities.
- Nominees will be judged on their leadership in the industry.
- Nominees will be judged by the manner in which they conduct their business in regard to integrity, ethics and their reputation for fair dealing.
