2022 CAHB Voter Guide
Election Day is right around the corner, and with mail ballots set to go out in less than a week, Colorado will soon be well ahead of the nation in voting during this midterm election. As you prepare to fill out your ballot, we would like to share the CAHB’s 2022 Voter Guide. The association through its Executive Committee, Government Affairs Committee, and Political Funding Committee has reviewed candidates and ballot issues and engaged on statewide politics to provide insight and direction for our industry.
The 2022 CAHB Voting Guide summarizes that work and provides the CAHB’s official position on endorsements in U.S. Senate and House races, as well as General Assembly races in the state Senate and House. This year, despite several initiatives on the statewide ballot, we did not take positions on any measures. However, please visit the state’s Blue Book to read about each measure and learn about the arguments for and against, as well as the fiscal impact.
Please utilize the 2022 Voter Guide as you begin to review your ballot. Also included is a piece on how the CAHB, working with its committees, selects candidates to support. Please also review this as you consider your ballot choices. Both documents can also be found on our website.
In addition, the NAHB has produced some videos to encourage HBA members to vote. Please feel free to share with your employees and post on your social media feeds. The videos include:
- Being a Home Builder is Hard, Voting is Easy:
- Home Builders Have a Powerful Voice:
The CAHB will keep you updated on these political races and their outcomes, especially how they will impact the building industry.
